My Son was an imperial city of the Champa Empire from the 4th to the 12th centuries. It is the large complex of religious ruins comprising more than 70 architectural remains, including temples and towers with distinctive red brick designs. UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World’s Cultural Heritage Site in1999.
8am or 1pm: Pick up at your hotel at Hoi An/ Danang. Depart to My Son, 40 km southwest of Hoi An/ 69 km southwest of Danang.
Upon arrival, a shuttle van will pick you up to the site. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son is considered to be in the same league with some of Southeast Asia’s greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. This is graphically illustrated by the remains of a series of impressive tower-temples located in a dramatic site that was the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom for most of its existence.
The visit lasts approximately 2.30 hours. Return to Hoi An/Danang. End of services.
