These 2 pagodas are about 30 km west of Hanoi in Ha Tay province. Both are famous for the magnificent wooden statues it contains, representing Buddhas as well as Buddhist deities. These wooden sculptures having figures depicting meditation in original aspects are carved from jackfruit wood, many dating from the 18th century, and are the pagoda’s most celebrated feature. All are impressive works of art.
Pick up at your hotel & drive through the country side to Thay pagoda. Walk to visit Thay pagoda. Then continue onto Tay Phuong, visit Tay Phuong pagoda. Visit Van Phuc, the famous silk village which has been well-known for its traditional sericulture, weaving, and silk products. Return to Hanoi. End of services
